CORRECTIONS MANAGEMENT ACT 2007 - SECT 196

    (1)     For an inquiry, the presiding officer may, by written notice given to any of the following, require the person to give the presiding officer a written report about the accused:

        (a)     the director-general;

        (b)     if the accused has been detained at a NSW correctional centre—the commissioner of corrective services under the Crimes (Administration of Sentences) Act 1999

(NSW);

        (c)     the director of public prosecutions;

        (d)     a corrections officer;

        (e)     a public servant.

    (2)     The person given the notice must comply with it.
