CIVIL LAW (WRONGS) ACT 2002 - SECT 12

    (1)     This part applies to civil liability of any kind.

    (2)     However, this part does not apply to civil liability for an award of damages or compensation—

        (a)     for defamation; or

        (b)     under any of the following:

              (i)     the Discrimination Act 1991 ;

              (ii)     the Victims of Crime (Financial Assistance) Act 1983 ;

              (iii)     the Workers Compensation Act 1951 .
