CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE ACT 2008 - SECT 812

In this chapter:

"authorised person"—see section 26.

Note     If the director-general delegates the functions under this chapter the delegate is an authorised person and must be given an identity card (see s 26).

"connected"—a thing is connected with an offence if—

        (a)     the offence has been committed in relation to it; or

        (b)     it will provide evidence of the commission of the offence; or

        (c)     it was used, is being used, or is intended to be used to commit the offence.

"occupier", of premises, includes—

        (a)     a person believed on reasonable grounds to be an occupier of the premises; and

        (b)     a person apparently in charge of the premises.

"offence" includes an offence that there are reasonable grounds for believing has been, is being, or will be, committed.
