CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE ACT 2008 - SECT 795
Offence—employment of children and young people under 15 years old(1) A person commits an offence if—
(a) the person employs a child or young person; and
(b) the child or young person is under 15 years old.
Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units, imprisonment for 6 months or both.
Note Employment as part of an exempted work experience program is not employment for this chapter (see s 781 (1), def "employment", par (c)).
