CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE ACT 2008 - SECT 109A
Transfer to mental health facility—notice of change in status(1) This section applies if the director-general has made a direction under section 109 for the transfer of a young detainee from a detention place to an approved mental health facility or approved community care facility.
(2) The director-general must tell the director-general responsible for the Mental Health Act 2015
in writing about any change in the young detainee's status as a young detainee.

1 the person's sentence of imprisonment ends
2 the person is released on parole
3 the person is otherwise released from detention
