Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts(1) The functions of the cemeteries authority are to effectively and efficiently manage public cemeteries and crematoria for which the authority has been appointed in writing as the operator by the Minister.
Note A provision of a law that gives an entity (including a person) a function also gives the entity powers necessary and convenient to exercise the function (see Legislation Act, s 196 and dict, pt 1, def entity ).
(2) An appointment under subsection (1) is a disallowable instrument.
Note A disallowable instrument must be notified, and presented to the Legislative Assembly, under the Legislation Act.
