Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts(1) A supplier shall not require a person who, under a contract of sale, buys or proposes to buy goods and services supplied by that supplier to obtain credit from a specified person in relation to payment for the goods and services.
(2) A supplier that contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence.
Maximum penalty:
(a) for an individual—$1 000; and
(b) for a corporation—$5 000.
