Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts(1) This section applies if—
(a) a court or authorised officer makes a decision about a grant of bail, or reviews a bail decision, in relation to a person; and
(b) the informant is aware that a victim has expressed concern about the need for protection from violence or harassment by the person.
(2) The informant must tell a police officer assigned to liaise with victims of crime (a victim liaison officer ) that the victim has expressed the concern.
(3) If a victim liaison officer is told about a victim's concern, the victim liaison officer must take all reasonable steps to tell the victim (or, if the victim is a child, a person who has parental responsibility for the child) about the bail decision as soon as practicable.
