BAIL ACT 1992 - SECT 38

Review by authorised officers

    (1)     If an authorised officer makes a decision under part 4 in relation to bail for an accused person that is—

        (a)     a decision to refuse to grant bail to the accused person; or

        (b)     a decision to grant bail to the accused person subject to 1 or more bail conditions;

the accused person may request a review of that decision by the authorised officer who made the decision or any other authorised officer.

    (2)     If an application for a review of a bail decision is made to an authorised officer under subsection (1), the authorised officer must as soon as possible conduct a review of the decision.
