BAIL ACT 1992 - SECT 31

    (1)     An undertaking to appear may be given to—

        (a)     a court; or

        (b)     a registrar or deputy registrar; or

        (c)     an authorised officer; or

        (d)     for an accused person who is at a correctional centre or a NSW correctional centre—the person in charge of the centre.

    (2)     An amount may be deposited, or security given, in accordance with a bail condition, to—

        (a)     a court; or

        (b)     registrar or deputy registrar; or

        (c)     an authorised officer.

    (3)     In this section:

"deposit "includes a payment by cash or electronic funds transaction.

"security" includes security given by way of bond or bank guarantee.
