ANIMAL WELFARE ACT 1992 - SECT 61

Restricted traps

    (1)     A person commits an offence if the person—

        (a)     sets a restricted trap with the intention of catching an animal; and

        (b)     does not hold a trapping permit.

Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units, imprisonment for 6 months or both.

    (2)     In this section:

"restricted trap" means a trap prescribed by regulation for this section.
