Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts(1) A person who is appointed to be the public officer (other than the inaugural public officer) of an incorporated association must, not later than 1 month after being appointed, lodge with the registrar-general a notice of the appointment.
Maximum penalty: 2 penalty units.
Note If a form is approved under s 126 (Approved forms) for a notice under this section, the form must be used.
(2) If the public officer of an incorporated association changes his or her address, the public officer must, within 1 month after the change, lodge with the registrar-general a notice of the change.
Maximum penalty: 1 penalty unit.
Note A person may ask the registrar-general to keep their address confidential (s 13A (2)). However, a public officer must have at least 1 address publicly available (s 13A (4)).
