ADOPTION ACT 1993 - SECT 8
Rules of private international law not to apply(1) The jurisdiction of the Supreme Court under this Act is not dependent on any fact or circumstance not stated in this Act.
(2) Without limiting subsection (1), the common
law rules of private international law do not apply in relation to matters
arising under this Act.
