An Act to amend the Financial Management Act 1996




The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as
follows:

 1   1            Name of Act
 2                This Act is the Financial Management (Budget Review) Amendment
 3                Act 2009.

 4   2            Commencement
 5                This Act commences on the day after its notification day.
 6                Note         The naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on
 7                             the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

 8   3            Legislation amended
 9                This Act amends the Financial Management Act 1996.

10   4            Budget review
11                Section 20A (1)
12                substitute
13            (1) The Treasurer must prepare a budget review for each financial year
14                that takes into account the first 6 months of the financial year.

15   5            Purpose and contents of budget review
16                New section 20B (3) (aa)
17                insert
18                (aa) include updates of financial and economic variables; and
