QUT Law and Justice Journal Online Issues

Using the Online Issues

There may be minor differences between the printed and electronic versions of the Journal. Each document has two forms of citation. One refers to the print citation and the other refers to the medium neutral citation. For example, in the reference "Trustee Investing: Homes and Hedges - [2001] QUTLJJ 2; (2001) 1(1) QUTLJJ 3", the medium neutral citation is "[2001] QUTLJJ 2" and the print citation is "(2001) 1(1) QUTLJJ 3". Please refer to AustLII's explanation of medium neutral citations for more information. You may consider using both for ease of cross referencing.

About the QUT Law and Justice Journal

The Queensland University of Technology Law and Justice Journal (QUTLJ) was first published in 2001 and carries on the tradition of Journal publications within the Faculty of Law since 1985.

From 1985 the Faculty of Law at QUT has published the Queensland Institute of Technology Law Journal. The QUTLJ, which was in production from 1985 to 1999, published an annual edition with articles by both national and international authors covering a wide range of legal topics. In 1996 the School of Justice Studies released Themis, a journal for justice professionals, which produced three editions per year until 1998.

In order to broaden the scope of both journals and to encourage contributions across law and justice disciplines it was decided to combine the journals and launch the Queensland University of Technology Law and Justice Journal from 2001.

The QUTLJJ is published biannually and is available both on-line and in hard copy (by subscription) format. Special editions of the Journal will be commissioned from time to time. The journal contains sections for contributions on law and justice topics as well as student contributions, both undergraduate and postgraduate, and book reviews. The QUTLJJ is a scholarly, refereed journal. Articles are refereed by at least one appropriate external referee who is independent of the editorial board.

For further information about how to submit an article or subscribe to the Journal please refer to our website at www.law.qut.edu.au/about/ljj/
