About the James Cook University Law Review

Mission Statement

‘The James Cook University Law Review is an annual peer reviewed journal. It welcomes original contributions relating to any legal interest. The aim is to encourage critical, conceptual and contextual analysis of these interests. The James Cook University Law Review values articles that incorporate a discussion of regional topics in a national and international context.’

Submissions

The JCULRev Editorial Committee invites the submission of original articles, case notes, book reviews and comments for the James Cook University Law Review. Only previously unpublished material that has not been submitted for consideration by another journal will be accepted. Submissions should follow the Advice for Contributors guidelines. In brief:

The Editorial Committee is interested in receiving and publishing articles written by students. Student assignment or thesis material may require extensive work in order to reach a suitable standard for publication. Undergraduate students are therefore strongly advised to consult with a member of academic staff to ensure their submission is likely to be of a standard to meet the publication requirements of the journal.
